Heroine
Kelsey
I've always found her annoying with her little 'I'm just a radish' talk. She had some serious self-confidence issues. I have to admit though, as much as I hated her and wished to strangle her in the past 3 books, in this one, she redeems herself. She becomes a kick-ass, amazonian person who would kill a demon while riding on a white tiger. That's pretty badass.
Love Interests
Ren
I like Ren, I truly do. I can't comprehend why he would love Kelsey like he does and put up with all of her cra-..... I promised myself I wouldn't vent. (Probably too late though) Ren is really sweet and a lot more patient than many people. I was almost jumping for joy when I thought he was finally leaving Kelsey, but I knew, deep inside that they would end up together. He's sweet, poetic, and sexy. I was not on Team Ren though.
Kishan
Oh, Kishan, my favorite character.... WHY COLLEEN? WHY WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE HIM IN THE PAST? WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE JUST FRIEND-ZONED HIM? The book was great up until that part. THE PART WHERE HE PROPOSED TO KELSEY. I knew that Kelsey wouldn't end up with Kishan. I knew it, you knew it, we all knew it. But I just had to be on his team (I'm beginning to question if I'm an M or not). I loved Kishan. I loved him even more when I found out that the baby had golden eyes and Kelsey said his name, but allowed her a choice. When he was left behind in the past, I felt like a part of me broke off and was left behind with him. I was already grieving for Mr. Kadam, but you just had to kill off Kishan so Ren and Kelsey could have their little happy ending. Thanks a lot Colleen.
Minor Characters
Mr. Kadam
WHY DID HE DIE? WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE IN HIM DYING?! One of my most favorite characters was annihilated within the first half of the book. Great job.
Nillima
We didn't see much of her in this book, but the few moments she did appear, made me like her even more. She felt real. When Mr. Kadam died, I could feel her sadness.
Villain
Lokesh
Well, I'm pretty sure we can all classify him as a sexual offender or a rapist.
People from the past
Anamika (Did I spell that right?)
I really liked her. Now that I think about it, why couldn't she be the main character of this whole series in the first place? She seemed less whiny and more self-confident. She actually deserves Kishan more than Kelsey does.
The brother whose name I cannot remember right now
He didn't appear much, but I'm rooting for you and Nillima!
Phet
I knew there was something off with him. I'm still a little confused about what happened, but I'm sure glad you came to the past. The moment I despised you most was when you made one of the tiger's leave ;-;
Conclusion
The pacing and writing in this book was so much better than the first three. If you loved the first three, then you will love this one even more! If you hated the first three with a burning passion.... you at least won't want to throw this book into a fire. As much of an improvement this book is, I will have to knock off 1.35 stars for my favorite characters, Mr. Kadam and Kishan.
